Installation
Welcome to the Snapmark installation guide. This page will help you get started with installing Snapmark across different platforms and environments.
Quick Start
Snapmark provides multiple installation methods to fit your development workflow:
Browser Extension
Now on Chrome Web Store!
The Snapmark browser extension is now available on the Chrome Web Store! You can install it directly from the store for easier setup and automatic updates.
Chrome Web Store Installation (Recommended)

Visit the Chrome Web Store
- Go to: Snapmark on Chrome Web Store
- Or search for "Snapmark" in the Chrome Web Store

Add to Chrome
- Click "Add to Chrome" button
- Confirm by clicking "Add extension" in the popup

Pin Extension
- Click the extensions icon in browser toolbar (puzzle piece icon)
- Find Snapmark in the list
- Click the pin button (pin icon)

Start Using Snapmark
- The extension icon should appear in the toolbar
- Click the icon to start using Snapmark
Manual Installation Steps (Alternative Method)
Chrome/Edge Browser

Download Extension Package
- Visit download link: https://res.snapmark.org/snapmark-prod-1.0.3.zip
- Save the file to your local computer
- Note: We recommend using the Chrome Web Store installation for automatic updates

Extract Files
- Extract the downloaded
snapmark-prod-1.0.3.zip
to a folder - Remember the location of the extracted folder
- Extract the downloaded

Open Extensions Page
- Chrome: Type
chrome://extensions/
in address bar - Edge: Type
edge://extensions/
in address bar
- Chrome: Type

Enable Developer Mode
- Find the "Developer mode" toggle in the top right corner
- Turn it on (toggle should turn blue)

Load Extension
- Click "Load unpacked" button
- In the file picker, select the extracted folder
- Click "Select Folder" to confirm

Pin Extension
- Click the extensions icon in browser toolbar (puzzle piece icon)
- Find Snapmark in the list
- Click the pin button (pin icon)

Verify Installation
- The extension icon should appear in the toolbar
- Click the icon to test if it's working properly
Firefox Browser
Firefox version is in development. Please use Chrome or Edge browser for now.
Safari Browser
Safari version is in development. Please use Chrome or Edge browser for now.
Security Note
When manually installing extensions, your browser may show security warnings. This is normal as the extension is not installed from the official store. Rest assured, Snapmark is safe, open-source software.
Automatic Updates
If you installed from the Chrome Web Store, the extension will update automatically. For manual installations, you'll need to repeat the installation steps with the new version.
System Requirements
- Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Compatible IDE (VS Code, Cursor, or similar)
